东方电气峨嵋集团半导体材料有限公司、峨嵋半导体材料研究所（以下简称：“峨半” ）座落在举世闻名的旅游胜地峨眉山脚下，占地面积1400余亩。峨半是1964年10月以原冶金部有色金属研究院338室和沈阳冶炼厂高纯金属车间为主组建的我国第一家集半导体材料科研、试制、生产相结合的大型企业，是有色工业重点骨干企业，其中，“研究所”是国家242所重点科研所之一，每年承担多项国家及军工重点科研专题项目。

　　因发展的需要，峨半2006年7月整体划转至东方电气集团公司旗下的东方汽轮机厂，2010年12月又成功实施改制，现直属东方电气集团。峨半现有员工2000余人，各类技术人员600余人，其中具有高级职称以上的技术人员有43人。2000年8月通过ISO9001质量管理体系认证，2006年1月1日起建立和运行ISO9001、ISO14001、GB/T28001质量、环境和职业健康安全管理体系。

　　 峨半是四川省“高新技术企业”和省级“企业技术中心”。截至目前，共取得科研成果300多项，其中获省部级以上成果奖80多项，累计开发试制新产品6000多种。先后为我国电子信息、能源交通、机械电力等许多工业部门和研究领域提供了相关的半导体材料。同时向我国洲际导弹、海上发射运载火箭、人造卫星、北京正负电子对撞机及神舟5号、6号飞船等提供了关键材料，为我国国防事业做出了重要贡献，多次受到党中央、国务院、中央军委及中央相关部委的通报表彰。峨半是四川大学、电子科技大学、西南石油大学、成都理工大学产学研基地，是国家特有工种职业技能鉴定站，是国家博士后科研工作站。

　　 经过四十多年的建设和发展，峨半现资产总额达30多亿元，已形成硅材料（多晶硅、单晶硅、硅片）、高（超）纯金属材料、化合物半导体材料及高纯气体、高纯试剂等4大产品系列，产品品种及规格达650多个。目前主要产品年生产能力已达到：多晶硅2200吨，单晶硅600吨、硅片3600万片、高纯金属65吨，是全国最大的多晶硅和高纯金属生产供应商，也是目前国内少数几个能独立生产全系列半导体材料和太阳能级硅材料的生产厂家之一。

　　Dongfang Electric Emei Semiconductor Material Co., Ltd., which was called Emei Semiconductor Material Factory&Institute before reformed, is located at the foot of Mt. Emei---a world-famous tourist resort.The Factory&Institute was established in October, 1964, covering an area of more than 1400 mu (One Chinese mu is 0.0667 hectares). The company is now directly subordinate to Dongfang Electric Corporation of China. It is our country's major company that integrates semiconductor materials research, trial and production. Now, it has over 2000 employees, including more than 600 professional personnel.

　　 So far, the company has achieved over 300 scientific researches and about 6000 kinds of new product introduction in total, among which more than 80 were awarded Achievement Prize at provincial and ministerial level or above.It was awarded as “provincial technology centre”. It has provided many semiconductor materials for our country’s industrial departments and research fields of electronic communication, energy, commucation, mechanicaland electric etc.It also provided key materials for our country’s intercontinental missile, maritime launch carrier rocket, artificial satellite, Beijing plus-minus electronic colliding beam accelerator, No.5 Shenzhou Spaceship and No.6 Shenzhou Spaceship. It was rewarded in recognition of its great contributions to our country by the Central Committee of our Party, the State Council, the Central Military Committee and other interrelated central ministries and commissions.It is the base of production,learning and research for Sichuan University,Electronics Science and Technology University, Southwest Petroleum University and Chengdu Technology University.It is the national center for special type of professional skill appraisal,and the national center for post-doctoral studies.

　　 With 40 years of construction and development, the current assets of the company has come to about 3 billion RMB Yuan. So far, it has formed 4 major product series with more than 650 product varieties and specifications, such as silicon material series with polysilicon and monocrystalline silicon, high (ultra)- purity metallic materials, compound semiconductor materials and high-purity gases, highpurity reagents. Now, the annual production capacity of its main products has reached: 2200 tons of polysilicon, 600 tons of monocrystalline silicon, 36 million silicon wafers and 65 tons of high-purity metals. It’s a well-known silicon material and high-purity metallic material supplier, and also one of the manufacturers which can provide a wide range of semiconductor and solar silicon materials.
